A Thin Line
This video was created at Jumbla Animation studios as part of their charity work. We needed to respond to the subject matter in a sensitive way that didn’t sensationalise, or downplay, what was being discussed.
The visual solution was to style it like a children’s book, so we could stay away from realistic depictions of eating disorders, yet still have characters to personalise the real issues people experience, and deliver it in a friendly and accessible way.
Follow the Colour
CEED has a strong brand and wanted to utilise their set colours throughout the animation. With a bright and limited color palette, how do you stop all the colours clashing?
We solved this by REMOVING colour except for the characters and important props. The neutral background balanced the bright brand colours, and allowed the viewer to focus on the most important information.
